About Sail & Wine

What do we mean by Sail & Wine? Perhaps our best product, or at least the one we've worked hardest on... wander around... search, search... taste, taste... and we can honestly say it really turned out well! .).

Having always been passionate about good food and wine, one of our first ideas was to offer a holiday that included Boat, Wine, and Good Food. There are many options; we chose the Dodecanese, the northern Aegean islands of Samos and Ikaria, the Cyclades and Santorini, Sardinia, and even Sicily, all wonderful to discover by sea and equally surprising producers of sublime wines. We then chose natural wines and producers who are attentive to their land because that's what we like... and because once you've tasted their wines, you'll never go back: aromas, flavors, hard work, and beautiful stories all in the same glass.

Which area you choose is up to you. We'll share our knowledge and experience at sea, the knowledge we've accumulated so far, and our desire to discover something new every day.

Your vacation is carefully organized with you before departure. We contact producers and book at least three winery visits per week. Our itinerary will then include restaurants and taverns, fish markets, fishermens, cheese makers, farmers, and greengrocers. Upon request, we can have a professional chef on board, specialized in transforming each product into wonderful meals.

This is what we mean by Sail & Wine: we combine a relaxing vacation in search of the perfect bay with an itinerary to discover the islands and their heroic, tireless producers, who will tell us their stories and let us taste their products.

An example could be, starting from Kos, the northern itinerary that takes us to Leros, Patmos, and Lipsi, and perhaps, weather permitting, to Ikaria (the anarchic one) and Samos. All islands boast great wines and just as many producers, but also true gems of taste like "èla," a restaurant in the Patmos countryside that offers grilled meats, vegetables from their own garden, and exceptional natural wines from around the world. Or "dilaila," a small restaurant in Lipsi that's absolutely not to be missed.

Cosa intendiamo noi per  Sail & Wine, forse il nostro miglior prodotto o perlomeno quello per cui ci siamo applicati di più….. gira gira ….. cerca cerca  …. assaggia assaggia…. e possiamo affermare che ci sia davvero venuto bene !! .).

Appassionati da sempre di buon cibo e buon vino tra le prime idee abbiamo subito inserito quella di proporre una vacanza che riguardasse Barca-Vino e buon Cibo. Le opzioni in merito sono molte, noi abbiamo scelto il Dodecanneso, le Isole del nord dell’Egeo Samos e Ikaria, le Cicladi e Santorini, La Sardegna ma anche la Sicilia, tutte meravigliose da scoprire via mare ed ugualmente sorprendenti produttrici di nettari sublimi. Abbiamo poi scelto i vini naturali e produttori attenti alla loro terra perché ci piace così … e perché una volta assaggiati i loro vini non si torna più indietro, profumi, sapori, fatiche e belle storie tutto nello stesso bicchiere.

Quale zona scegliere spetta a voi, noi metteremo a disposizione la nostra conoscenza e l’esperienza di mare, il sapere accumulato fin’ora ma anche la voglia di andare a scoprire ogni giorno qualcosa di nuovo.

Le vostre vacanze vengono organizzate attentamente con voi prima della partenza, si contattano i produttori e si prenotano almeno 3 visite in cantina durante la settimana, sul nostro itinerario inseriremo poi ristoranti e taverne, fish market, pescatori, produttori di formaggio, allevatori e ortolani, a richiesta sarà possibile avere a bordo un cuoco professionista specializzato nel trasformare ogni prodotto in meravigliosi pranzi.

Questo intendiamo noi per Sail & Wine abbiniamo la vacanza rilassante alla ricerca ella baia perfetta ad un itinerario di scoperta delle Isole e di eroici produttori, instancabili, che ci racconteranno la loro storia e ci faranno assaggiare i loro prodotti.

Un esempio potrebbe essere, con partenza da Kos, l’itinerario a nord che ci porta a Leros a Patmos a Lipsi e magari con bel tempo a Ikaria (l’anarchica) e a Samos, tutte Isole con grandi vini ed altrettanti produttori ma anche con vere perle del gusto come ”èla” un ristorante nella campagna di Patmos che propone carne alle griglia, verdure del proprio orto ed eccezionali vini naturali da tutto il mondo o come “dilaila” un piccolo ristorante a Lipsi assolutamente da non perdere.
